What Do Others See?

I am doing a study on the final book in the Old Testament, Malachi, and it's opening my eyes and heart all over again.

Jason Hayes states in his study..."Although we're seen as acceptable offerings in the eyes of God, we may be pointing those around us completely away from God because of how we're living. When you think about it that way, it seems pretty selfish, doesn't it? Although others will never see us just as God sees us, they should be able to clearly see a life made different by His grace."

Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and believe that He came, died for our sins and rose on the third day...God sees us as the Righteousness of Christ, because of what Jesus did. My point is this, the people around me will never see me as God does, so what do they see? If I have turned anyone away from God because of my life, I apologize a million times. I am so aware that I am no where near perfect, but I am called to live as Jesus did. There are so many areas where I still fall short and I pray that I would continue daily on this journey to become more Christ-like. As Hayes said that others would clearly be able to see this life made different by HIS grace.

The scripture that comes to mind is Proverbs 24:16...

"For a righteous man falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked are overthrown by calamity."

Though I make mistakes, I will rise again to serve the Most High God.

Dear Father,

Thank You for never leaving or forsaking me in my weaknesses. I love You.

Amen
